Importing and Exporting Scan Sessions in Netsparker Standard

In addition to starting new scans, Netsparker Standard can:

  • Import a Netsparker session file from a scan conducted in Netsparker Enterprise or from your local machine
  • Export a current Netsparker Standard scan session to a file, which you can then import later to view the results, or exploit the identified vulnerabilities within Netsparker
  • Finally, you can export Netsparker Standard scans to Netsparker Enterprise as a single current scan or as a bulk export
In order to export Netsparker Standard scans to Netsparker Enterprise, or import a scan from Netsparker Enterprise to Netsparker Standard, you must first have signed in to Netsparker Enterprise.

How to Import a Scan Session into Netsparker Standard from Netsparker Enterprise

  1. Open Netsparker Standard.
  2. Make sure you have signed into Netsparker Enterprise (see Information box above).
  3. From the ribbon, select the File tab. Local Scans are displayed.
  4. Select Netsparker Enterprise Scans.

  1. Select the one you want to import by clicking it. A Download Scan File dialog is displayed.

  1. Click Yes. The scan is displayed in View.

How to Import a Scan Session to Netsparker Standard from Your Local Machine

  1. Open Netsparker Standard.
  2. From the ribbon, select the File tab. Local Scans are displayed. Click Browse. Alternatively, on the Quick Access Toolbar, click the Import button.
  3. The Import dialog is displayed.

  1. Select the scan session file.
  2. Click Open.

How to Export the Current Scan Session from Netsparker Standard to Your Local Machine

  1. Open Netsparker Standard.
  2. From the ribbon, select the File tab. Local Scans are displayed. Click Export. Alternatively, on the Quick Access Toolbar, click the Export button.
  3. The Export dialog displayed.

  1. Select a location on your local machine.
  2. Click Save.

How to Export the Current Scan Session from Netsparker Standard to Netsparker Enterprise

  1. Open Netsparker Standard.
  2. From the ribbon, select the File tab. Local Scans are displayed.
  3. Click Export to Netsparker Enterprise. The Export to Netsparker Enterprise window is displayed.
  4. Select Current Scan.

How to Bulk Export Selected Scans from Netsparker Standard to Netsparker Enterprise

  1. Open Netsparker Standard.
  2. From the ribbon, select the File tab. Local Scans are displayed.
  3. Click Export to Netsparker Enterprise. The Export to Netsparker Enterprise window is displayed.
  4. Select Bulk Export. The Local Scans and Export List columns are displayed.

  1. In the Local Scans list, select the checkboxes for those scans you want to export.
  2. Click Add. The selected scans are moved to the Export List. (If you make a mistake, select the scan in the Export List and click Remove.)
  3. You can add other scan sessions, that are stored elsewhere on your local machine, to the Export List by selecting:
    • Add From Filewhich opens the Import window from your local machine
    • Add From Folder which opens the Browse For Folder dialog
  4. When your Export List is complete, click Start Export.
